Why Connection Matters
At 27, I spent 14 months exploring 25 countries, and it completely transformed how I understood the world. Travel wasn’t just about seeing new places—it was about meeting people, building relationships, and discovering new possibilities. Each interaction opened my eyes to new perspectives, new ways of thinking, and the potential for collaboration I hadn’t imagined before.
I saw how relationships built on curiosity and mutual understanding could lead to transformative ideas, unexpected collaborations, and life-changing experiences. Those lessons shaped how I approach connection and community building to this day.
The Journey to Building Powerful Connections
I’ve spent years creating spaces where people connect, collaborate, and grow. Before my time in Florida, I worked in the corporate world, where I gained valuable experience in event planning and execution. This role taught me how to think strategically, manage timelines, and build relationships that turned ideas into reality. I carried those skills with me to St. Pete, Florida, where I ran a thriving monthly social club.
The club focused on creating consistent opportunities for people to connect and build relationships. We organized regular gatherings, often centered around dining or local social events, and occasionally planned trips that brought members together in new ways. Watching friendships form, collaborations take shape, and opportunities unfold made the experience deeply rewarding.
Eventually, I realized I needed to see more of the world—to revisit places that felt like home, discover new perspectives, and expand my horizons.
Building Momentum in Chiang Mai
That’s what brought me back to Chiang Mai, a city that had already left an imprint on me. When I began hosting weekly events for digital nomads and expats, I started with a simple idea: to help a few friends grow their businesses. But within just a few weeks, something remarkable happened.
Venues soon started approaching me, wanting to collaborate. These events gained incredible momentum and quickly grew to become the largest community events for digital nomads and expats in Chiang Mai.
By being consistent and crafting warm, fun, and engaging experiences, these gatherings became spaces where people felt welcome, energized, and connected. Through curating these events with intention, I saw how powerful a well-designed community space could be—not just for individuals, but for businesses as well. The events became a catalyst for partnerships, collaborations, and growth. People approached me not only to help build their communities but to learn how to create their own impactful events.

Sometimes, one moment can shift your entire perspective. During one of my first Hyatt stays, someone invited me into their Regency Club Lounge. I’d heard of Hyatt’s Globalist status before but always thought it was out of reach. That one experience changed everything.
